About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and analytical Category Manager – Mechanical Components to join a leading global industrial organization with a strong presence in Sweden. This role offers the opportunity to take strategic ownership of sourcing and supplier management within the Mechanical Components category, playing a key role in achieving the company’s supply chain and procurement objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement local sourcing strategies aligned with global procurement goals.
- Monitor supplier markets and identify opportunities for cost optimization and innovation.
- Lead commercial negotiations and manage supplier contracts, pricing, and terms.
- Evaluate and follow up on supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and cost.
- Support sourcing activities for new product introductions in collaboration with R&D and Quality.
- Maintain accurate supplier documentation and data within relevant IS/IT systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with global teams across regions including Europe, China, and the US to ensure alignment on category strategies
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or category management within a global manufacturing environment.
- University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management.
- Proven negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven, analytical, and result-oriented with the ability to thrive in an international and fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in procurement tools and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with SAP, Ariba, or equivalent systems is considered a plus.
- Strong understanding of industrial commodities, supplier markets, and manufacturing processes.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in Swedish is an advantage.
