About the Role:
We are looking for a Test Engineer with expertise across software, electronics, and hardware domains to join a cross-functional automotive development team focused on body and vehicle functions.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting verification and validation activities for embedded vehicle functions. You will work across component, system, and full-vehicle levels, ensuring functionality, reliability, and compliance through structured testing, fault analysis, and close collaboration with engineering stakeholders and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and execute verification and validation activities for embedded vehicle functions
Develop and maintain test cases and test scripts for both manual and automated testing
Define and coordinate test activities, equipment, and device-under-test (DUT) readiness with relevant stakeholders
Perform component, system, and full-vehicle testing in physical test rigs, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments, and real vehicles
Develop and execute test methods and test cases using relevant tools and frameworks
Perform fault tracing, log analysis, and signal/measurement evaluation on components and actuators
Create, document, and follow up on fault reports, including supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions
Review and analyze test results and reports from external suppliers and internal teams
Contribute to test automation efforts and CI integration of test scripts
Ensure all deliverables meet defined acceptance criteria and quality standards
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of test activities and results
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, or similar
Experience in system verification and validation within embedded or automotive environments
Strong experience in test case design, test execution, and automation scripting
Ability to perform fault tracing and analyze logs, signals, and measurement data
Experience working with electrical schematics and measurement tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.)
Understanding of test system flow and verification processes
Valid driver’s license (Category B, Sweden)
Strong communication skills in English
Preferred Skills:Experience with automotive test, diagnostic, and flashing tools such as:
CANalyzer / CANoe
INCA
vTestStudio / VT System
Experience with configuration, calibration, and engineering lifecycle management tools for embedded systems
Experience with test management and reporting frameworks (e.g., Application Lifecycle Management / PLM systems)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation frameworks
Experience in embedded system testing across hardware and software integration layers
