About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Embedded Test Architect – Software Platform to lead and drive quality assurance initiatives for embedded software platforms. This role requires a recognized technical expert with extensive experience in embedded systems testing, test architecture, automation frameworks, and cross-functional collaboration.
The successful candidate will play a key role in defining testing strategies, mentoring engineering teams, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and contributing to the development of robust and scalable software platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor test engineers and development teams, fostering a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
Define, design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for embedded software platforms.
Drive verification and validation activities for embedded software and hardware systems.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality requirements, and functional safety regulations.
Develop and enhance automated testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies to improve test efficiency and coverage.
Identify, document, track, and support resolution of software defects and testing challenges.
Collaborate closely with software developers, system architects, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality objectives.
Lead system-level testing activities and integrate deliverables across multiple teams.
Support release readiness assessments and quality gate reviews.
Contribute to technical roadmaps and influence testing strategies across the wider organization.
Act as a subject matter expert, driving best practices and innovation in embedded software testing and verification.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
12+ years of experience in embedded software development, testing, verification, or system engineering.
Strong expertise in embedded software testing methodologies, test architecture, and verification strategies.
Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and automated testing tools.
Solid understanding of embedded hardware-software interaction.
Experience working with safety-critical or highly regulated systems.
Strong defect management, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration capabilities.
Proven experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
