Assignment Description
We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer who wants to play a key role in one of Sweden's most exciting industrial development projects.
Our client is investing heavily in a new, highly automated production environment where advanced assembly processes, material handling systems, and modern logistics solutions are being brought together in a future-oriented manufacturing setup. The project has now entered critical verification, testing, and commissioning phases, creating an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to both technology and operations.
In this assignment, you will work in a dynamic environment where automation is at the heart of the business. You will collaborate with production, engineering, logistics, and project teams to ensure stable operations while continuously driving improvements and supporting future development.
This is a hands-on role with significant influence, where you will combine technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and leadership capabilities to create long-term value for the client.
Required skills
We believe you bring:
- At least 8 years of experience within industrial automation engineering. - Solid experience from automated manufacturing, assembly, or logistics environments.
- Strong understanding of automation systems, machine interfaces, and industrial control solutions.
- Experience from FAT, SAT, commissioning, start-up, or production ramp-up activities.
- Ability to analyze technical issues and drive structured root cause investigations.
- Experience managing technical interfaces between production, engineering, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written. Preferred skills Experience in one or several of the following areas is considered an advantage:
- Technical project management.
- Development of automation standards and best practices.
- Concept studies and industrial investment projects. - Continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
- Automated warehouses, material handling systems, or intralogistics.
- Production support within high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Coaching, training, or mentoring colleagues in automation-related disciplines.
